Ultimamente ando obcecada com saias... Especialmente saias destas, compridas, pelo joelho, pelo tornozelo, o que seja, mas muito volumosas. Estas saias são todas da mesma loja e é uma loja que não tem uma única coisa que goste!! Made in Russia. 

I'm so obsessed with this kind of skirts. Long or short doesn't matter, they just need to be with a lot of volume!! I'm totally in love with them... I would love to find similar in Portugal... But no! Maybe I just need a tailor to help me :-)

Peço desculpa pela falta de actualização, mas estou em modo ''férias''. Mas... Ainda que me tenha esquecido da pen da internet, consegui encontrar wifi e dedicar um tempo ao nosso espaço. 

De facto, estar de férias em Portugal faz-me perceber que temos dos Países mais bonitos... Falo de uma beleza natural e não de beleza artificial, luxuosa. Não quero falar de prédios altos, de avenidas repletas de luxo, de restaurantes com estrelas Michelin ou de sítios onde o dinheiro pode entrar... Falo de sítios que são belos porque sempre assim foram, ou assim se criaram... temos uma costa maravilhosa, um mar maravilhoso, assim como as praias. Honestamente para quem precisa fugir de toda uma agitação do quotidiano nada como viajar para Portugal. Tem todo o seu encanto. 

Sorry for running late, but I'm on holidays. So today I finally found wifi and time to write a new entry on my blog, our place! 

I have been thinking about Portugal during my holidays... It's such a beautiful place to take a few days and relax. I'm talking about a natural beauty... It's not a fancy restaurant, a luxury avenue with all the expensive stores, or anything glamourous. I'm talking about beautiful landscapes, an amazing sea, beaches with perfect views, the sunset over here it's something crazy!!! Well... I'm portuguese, of course I will speak good about my country, but I only speak good about what we really have that deserves that compliment. Portugal it's a perfect place to run away of our stressful life! And this Summer I will be working in Seven Vilamoura, the best club in Algarve. This I can say it's one of the most luxury places in Portugal - Vilamoura. So if you're looking for a place to go out, this is the place. Dubai: Cove Beach

Uma vez que durante o meu ano no Dubai nunca estive muito atenta ao blog, vou finalmente postar aqui alguns dos sitios por onde passei e gostei. Hoje começo com algumas fotografias da praia Cove Beach; é uma praia privada, com Restaurante. Tem duas áreas diferentes e dentro dos preços do Dubai posso dizer que é das mais caras, para quem quer uma cama para se deitar, mais almoço, bebidas e tudo o que é necessário... Talvez por estar situada ao lado do Burj Al Arab. A comida é boa, tendo em conta o calor que o Dubai tem, o melhor mesmo são as saladas. As bebidas também são boas. E de facto o que é bom em bebidas no Dubai (pelo menos em comparação com Portugal) é a quantidade de bebidas que se inventam por lá. Claro que decorar nomes não é comigo, mas no meio de tantas que experimentei, posso dizer que gostei de 90%.

A praia, neste sitio, é das mais bonitas do Dubai. O mar é super clarinho... Não é que não seja nos outros sitios, mas aqui especialmente, é super azul turquesa, muito bonito.

I've been living in Dubai for a year and I noticed that I haven't post anything (almost) about my journey there. So it's time to look inside my albums (after half of the pictures disappeared and my phone also) and decide which one to post on social media. I'm going to speak about Cove Beach. This is a piece of luxury. Can you understand the meaning of that? Well... If you live in Dubai you know how everything is. Or even if you have been there for a week. This place has a Restaurant, a spot to eat inside and outside and also a place with beds to stay under the sun. You also have some music to make you feel relaxed while you watch the beautiful sea. And trust me, this is the most beautiful sea all over Dubai. The color it's a beautiful turquoise blue. For me it's the only place with this amazing color!! So if you're visiting Dubai I must tell you this is the spot! Super beautiful, minimalist, and not overcrowded. At least when I was there it was not that kind of place with loads of people. If you have been there, leave your opinion!

Bem o meu quarto era um sitio que eu já não me identificava minimamente. E decidi, de vez, ganhar coragem para fazer a mudança. Primeiro que tudo mudei a cor das paredes. Queria uma cor sóbria, que combinasse com tudo. Por isso nada como pintar de branco! Além de ficar com muito mais luz do que um cor com outra cor. 

Ok, first of all my room was asking for a change since a long time ago. But my laziness was always loyal to me and I couldn't move forward. So a few days ago I decided to take a step and finally I changed most of the things. I took off the pink and now it's all white. Its such a huge difference. The light inside it's amazing!! I can have such a bright place... better than ever. 

Outra das coisas que fiz foi comprar algumas coisas para a cama, colcha, capa para a mesma, almofadas e uns acessórios, velas, molduras, entre outras coisas. Um quarto para mim é muito importante. Nada como estar arrumado, a cheirar bem, limpo com um ambiente que nos inspire! 

Also I decided to change my bed clothes, buy a couple of pillows and accessories for my room. I'm not taking pictures about everything but it's just a view... For now I'm gonna keep myself in bed writing and trying to find inspiring pictures for instagram and facebook. Yes, because with this weather there's nothing I want to do except drink tea and stay at home. Stay tuned!

Hoje depois de algum atraso de noticias que devo ter tido, finalmente vi as fotografias da transformação de Bruce Jenner. Já tinha visto a entrevista, vi alguns do episódios em que a Kim e a família falavam do assunto e mesmo que seja um reality show, acreditam que exista verdade. Verdade nas lagrimas de Kris Jenner, que estava destroçada com tal noticia do avanço da transformação de Bruce. Acredito que ela não estivesse triste por saber que ele se sentiria feliz como uma ela, mas sim que ela tivesse uma sensação estranha ao saber que ele é o pai dos filhos e uma série de perguntas surjam na sua cabeça. 

O que é preciso é coragem. As pessoas não são tão corajosas como deviam! Porque o que os outros pensam é sempre um problema. ''Hoje não vou usar este vestido, porque sei que me irão julgar''. Olham, comentam que é demasiado curto, ou demasiado comprido, ou demasiado justo, ou o decote que é grande, ou a cor que não tem nada a ver, ou porque não é para a idade da pessoa em questão. Mas porque raio alguém tem de olhar de lado, comentar ou julgar o que os outros vestem ou fazem da sua vida? Por nada. Porque as pessoas sempre gostaram de meter o nariz na vida das outras. Honestamente a Caitlyn fez muito bem em assumir o que é. Sendo figura publica, além de o fazer perante a família, amigos, fez perante um mundo inteiro, que critica facilmente. Por isso palmas! Palmas, por assumir o que queria, por ter dado o passo necessário para a mudança e por hoje ter conseguido o seu objectivo! Que o Mundo seja mais feito de pessoas que pouco se importam com a pressão social, mas que lutam pelo que querem e assim o assumem! 

After a while I saw the pictures from the transformation of Bruce into Caitlyn. I saw the interview, the Kardashians show, with all the stories, the mom crying for all that is being happening. Honestly I felt that she was really sad about everything. Not because she was being selfish but because I could see that she was in pain about it... She was probably thinking about her marriage, the kids that they had together... Putting a lot of questions in her mind. And trying to be positive in a society that kills all the positivity it's hard. I know its a TV Show, but I'm pretty sure that she was speaking from her heart, and all the tears was real.

What people need nowadays its courage! People are not so brave anymore. People live for other people and thats the rupture. It's terrible how can people be living something in order to make other people happy. I mean, how many people don't dress the way they like just because they don't want to be criticized? How many people don't assume their sexual preferences? How many people getting a boring job just because someone was pressuring them to study that subject in University? It's importante to do what we want, to be what we are! Don't be a victim of society. Honestly, there's nothing worst than trying to be what we are not, just to make others happier. Clap clap to Caitlyn, that after all these years decided to be what she's. Congratulations for all the process, for the courage to assume in front of family, friends, media, all the world! You're an inspiration. God bless you and bless all your path! 

Viajar sozinha?

Estava agora a actualizar o meu instagram (sweetestcottonpage) e a minha preferência passa pelas imagens de praia... Está calor, por isso torna-se a minha inspiração. E gosto de praias com o mar clarinho, que lembrem as Maldivas. Mas de facto não me lembrava que eu já estive em sítios onde o mar é exactamente clarinho, ou azul intenso. Por isso não precisava ir longe para publicar essas imagens. Decidi abrir um dos álbuns que tinha da viagem que fiz a Cabo Verde - Ilha do Sal. Lembro-me bem, marquei a viagem de um dia para o outro. E fui sozinha. Quando entrei no avião sentei-me e rapidamente comecei a falar com uma Senhora, que estava acompanhada pelo marido e crianças. Perguntou-me meio confusa ''Mas está sozinha a viajar? Não se sente sozinha?''. Sorri e disse que não... Gosto muito de viajar sozinha. Confesso que as minhas viagens nunca são ponderadas, nem planeadas ou algo do género. Não sou uma pessoa muito viajada, sou jovem, mas vou visitando o que posso. 

Em relação ao viajar sozinha... Como disse, não tenho medo de ir sozinha, ou se tiver passa rápido. Gosto de aproveitar a minha companhia. Gosto de sair do hotel sozinha e não saber nada. Porque obrigatoriamente tenho de perguntar a alguém local que me explique o sitio para onde quero ir. Quando cheguei a Cabo Verde estava num hotel que não era exactamente na praia, para chegar à praia decidi ir perguntando de pessoa em pessoa. Porque há sempre quem explique a maneira mais longe, pois a darem indicações nem todos somos bons. Eu, por exemplo sou péssima! Entretanto cheguei à praia, aluguei uma cadeirinha, estendi a minha toalha, meti protector (e apanhei um escaldão como nunca na vida) e tirei algumas fotografias. Fiquei fascinada com aquela Ilha! Falei com algumas pessoas, conheci outras, era para ter ido sair com um grupo de jovens (da minha idade) mas como tinha avião no dia seguinte, não quis arriscar ficar em Terra. Fiz também uma viagem pela Ilha toda, onde passei pelo deserto, onde se viam as miragens, tinha também uma loja tradicional, estive a ver também o Olho Azul e muito mais... Foi uma viagem maravilhosa. As pessoas são muito simpáticas, o tempo é óptimo, excepto aquele vento terrível. 

Em resumo adorei toda a viagem! 

I was checking and updating my instagram (sweetestcottonpage) and as usually I'm all about beautiful beaches and the lovely blue of the sea. It's Summer, so it's easier for me to think and search about this. And today I was thinking ''Why am I looking at pictures at the Internet if I have my own pictures?''. So I decided to start look at my pictures from Cape Verde - Ilha do Sal and here I am! I remember that I booked this flight without planning anything, I just had a budget and I went to the travel agency to pick up one package to travel. I went alone, as most os my travels. I don't like to travel with people... I like to be on my own, get lost in the streets, discover by myself new places and ask the local people where should I go. They always have a good advice. So I still remember when I was on the plane and one lady ask me ''Don't you feel weird by traveling alone, or lonely?''. She was not judging me, she was just curious. I smiled, and I said no. I like it! It's getting out of my comfort zone. 

So what can I say about Cape Verde it's only good things. I just went to the beach, and also travelled all around the Island. It was very nice, taking pictures, learning about different places, the culture... everything was lovely! The people there are very nice and kind, and the food delicious...! So if you ever feel afraid to travel alone, don't think about it. You will enjoy, you will discover many places, and you will have a different perspective. Sometimes traveling with friends makes you choose a place that both would like to go. If you are going alone, you will go only for what you like, and you will find a way getting lost. So go for it.

Adoro renda por completo. E confesso que andava a ver se encontrava este modelo, mas depois de experimentar vários encontrei este, em saldos, perdido no meio de vários. Já nem me lembrava que queria comprar... 

Quero colocar com uma blusa daquelas básicas, brancas ou cinza... Não sei bem. Com uns calções ou calças rasgados. Para deixar sem duvidas, aqui fica a imagem... 

I'm obsessed with lace! And since a long time ago I was looking for a bra like this one, super simple, black, lace. Today I was just looking around to buy something and I found this one. Lucky, lucky woooho!! Anyway, I think this could be the perfect combination. The following outfit was made by me, of course. Super easy and simple - jeans, white t-shirt, a bag full of color... Ready to go!

Lisbon.

Neste momento estou sentada numa cadeira longa, ao sol, com os meus óculos, a escrever no meu portátil tão leve como uma folha. Aliás, foi esse o motivo principal porque o comprei... Posso leva-lo comigo para qualquer sitio, que não pesa quase nada. Uma das coisas mais complicadas de ter um blog é saber como geri-lo, em termos de conteúdo. Confesso que temas para escrever nele não me faltam... Tenho sempre mil e uma ideias e talvez por isso acabe por não escrever: disperso-me, perco a paciência... Mas depois de alguns anos nisto, não vou perder o ritmo, vou é acelerar um pouco mais, para avançar caminho. 

Tendo em conta que os meus leitores são um pouco de toda a parte deste globo, presumo que possa fazer uma boa publicidade ao meu País. Não porque alguém me pagou, mas porque eu gosto do sitio onde vivo e, sei perfeitamente que a publicidade que faço será um beneficio para eles. Pois visitar Portugal devia estar na lista de qualquer viajante. Como vivo em Lisboa, o meu focus vai ser esta cidade. Quero deixar a minha opinião de espaços a visitar. A tradução que se encontra a baixo não é tradução total do que escrevi em português (e penso que já repararam nisso), mas vai muito ao encontro. 

Making it easy: I'm writing right now at my little, tinny computer, not little but tinny, and taking some sun. One of the hardest things about having a blog it's to know about what to write. I have thousands of subjects but it's always hard to pick up one, so I give up (shame on me). So, today I decided to post something about Lisbon, my country. You should read and you maybe will book a ticket for Lisbon, this summer. Why not? Right? I will leave here some suggestion, for you, your friends, family, girlfriend, boyfriend. So you all can come and enjoy this Sunny Lisbon. 

Blue over blue and roofs

I don't know where are you from, but nowadays there's a lot of hotels that became a normal place to people relax, go out, dinner, or whatever. So many clubs inside the Hotels, nice pools, amazing Spas... In Portugal that's not common yet, although... you can enjoy this place! The pool from the Hotel Epic Sana Lisbon is one of the most beautiful pools in Lisbon. This is my opinion and you can correct me, but first you should go there and take your own conclusion. This pool has a view over the river (another blue) and Lisbon. You can go there even if you are not at the Hotel. There's an entrance fee, and you can go there, relax, eat, drink, whatever you like. The food there is good, I usually get salads, coffees (because I-am-a-ddi-cted), desserts (yes! I'm a big fan of sugarrrr and that things that make us fat!!!), and last but not least, drinks - I like morangoska, caipirinha, cosmopolitan and so.... Always cocktails. 

A Piscina do Hotel epic Sana. Maravilhosa! Podem ir lá, mesmo que não estejam no Hotel. Basta pagarem a entrada. A entrada não é de consumo mínimo. Ou seja, pagam a entrada e o que consumirem. Vale a pena, pela vista sobre a cidade e sobre o rio! Tem óptimas saladas, assim como sobremesas. O café é algo que eu adoro e sou viciada, por isso, café torna-se indispensável. Para bebidas alcoólicas, também pode pedir. Para mim nada como cosmopolitan, caipirinha, morangoska, Mojito... 

A Castle, a Palace and...

This is an AMAZING place! I was doing and internship there (just 1 month) and I don't have any bad words to describe this place. It's right next to Castelo de São Jorge, and it's a magical place. The owner is a French Gentleman, Mr. Frederic, and he describe each detail with a lot of passion. This place it's a book, that every single page you can discover something about history. A place full of exclusivity, and only with suites. Each one has a name, guess what name? Portuguese famous people, not from now, from our roots! Connected with history, poetry, fantasy! You can find here the nature, a landscape. The birds, the plants, the fresh orange juice made with real oranges (it's not the one that you can buy at the supermarket), the piano at the Cafe, the marble swimming pool. I could stay here all day describing this place. You can't visit because they preserve the privacy of their guests, but you always can pass by, or if you want there's a room there where you can drink coffee, eat something, listen piano (yes, they used to have someone playing piano there... which I expect to be there at the moment). Take a look, and visit also Castelo de S. Jorge! It's exactly next to Palácio Belmonte. 

Honestamente este sitio é extraordinário. Estive num estágio lá apenas um mês e jamais vou esquecer cada detalhe de cada espaço. Tanta história, desde os azulejos (tipicamente portugueses, que foram restaurados), as paredes de diferentes séculos, os tapetes, a vista sobre Lisboa, sobre o Rio, as diferentes suites, cada uma com um nome trazido da historia, da poesia, da literatura portuguesa. Infelizmente, não podem visitar o espaço mas podem ir à Cafetaria que se encontra no Pateo do mesmo hotel. Podem beber um chá, café, comer algo, enquanto ouvem alguém a tocar no maravilhoso piano. De seu nome: Palácio Belmonte. 

River, fishes and dishes

It's called Darwin's Cafe and it's a beautiful place in Belem! There's no advertisement needed for this busy restaurant that it's most of the time fully booked! What's special there? A lot! Soon as you enter there you are surrounded by books, looks like a library (a small old library - full of story). Then they have a beautiful panel that looks exactly like a huge library, from the bottom to the top of the wall. There's a lot of people that thought that it was real. The food it's a mix, they have fish, pastas, typical dishes. They also have a very nice lounge outside next to the river, where you can relax, drink something, take a snack. They are opened for lunch, tea time and dinner. I would suggest you to make a booking before you get there. It's not that easy, sometimes you can be lucky enough to have a space without reservation. 

Darwin's Cafe é um restaurante em Belém, que tem uma esplanada grande com vista para o rio e o outro lado oposto de Lisboa. podem desfrutar dos raios de sol, e ter uma refeição. Almoço ou lanche (quando as condições estão reunidas!). A comida é um misto, peixe, carne, pastas, pratos típicos. Tem para vários gostos! A minha sugestão seria de fazerem a reserva, pois nem sempre é fácil encontrar uma vaga neste Restaurante da Fundação Champalimaud! 

Smooth as Silk

This place is called ''Silk'' and it's next to the typical streets of Lisbon. You know, the tinny ones, full of people, people that scream, jump, runs... That's how sometimes we Portuguese are. But the funny part of that is that it's about happiness. Most of us, have such a straight way to behave, and for me, I'm not one of those that screams, jumps, runs, or whatever, but I feel happiness to see this people behaving like ''nobody cares''. Thats their beautiful soul! So if you have opportunity, between the luxury places that we have, I would advice you to see whats is ''bairro''. But the good ones, the typical ones, where there's simple people. Oh God, it's hard to explain, but if you need some recommendation inbox me (I might have time to reply and give you some tips). So, Silk it's in a Rooftop, where you can see all the city, and the river. You may ask me: What the... Can you see the river all the time? And i would say: NO! But this is about my preferences, so I prefer a good view, and the river is included! It's a bar, loud music (not too loud!), with a good view (once again) and loads of tourists. I think it's a good place to go, drink something before you hit the club! Here in Lisbon theres a couple of nice places that I would recommend before the Club starts, but I will just suggest this one! Also, I want to tell you... If you're going to a club, don't go to early. here everything closes pretty late, maybe 7am, so you have enough time. You can party after 3am, because all the clubs are open. 

Silk... Mais uma vez, um espaço com vista sobre o Rio, Lisboa, toda a beleza da cidade. Com DJ, música, mesas para sentar e beber algo. Pode ser um bom espaço para quem pretende ir sair mas primeiro quer beber algo entre amigos. Poderia aconselhar imensos espaços com o mesmo efeito em Lisboa, mas para mim, o Silk tem algum tempo e merece ser um espaço de eleição. Honestamente não passo lá já faz algummmmmm tempo. Mas acredito que continuo a ser um bom espaço. 

This was my suggestion for you that are thinking about traveling to Lisbon. Yes, you! I know you need a place to go during Summer, so nothing better than Lisbon, also because you can take a trip to Algarve, and there's a lot of fun there! I'm sure you will like it. It's not St. Tropez, Cannes, or Monaco, but you can have so much fun that you will not regret! And come on... That places are the same each year. Think about something different! Lisbon is the answer, following by Algarve. Wooohoooo!!
