Nature

There's nothing like having some green reflected in our eyes. I truly love to see flowers, plants... It's like finding peace.

Here's some pictures taken by me in Dubai, in Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa

It's all about inspiration

The second interview it's about one person that really inspires me. We met in Dubai, about 2 years ago, and I just remembered that she could be the perfect person to be here, on the blog. I hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did.

For the people that doesn’t know you, you’re such an inspiration… From where do you bring all the positivity that you have?
Experience. I believe that our life experiences are based on our mindsets. The quote "change your mind, change your life" comes to mind. I was in a space where my mindset was stuck in the past, filled with worry self-doubt, stress, and so many other things. The moment I began being more positive the better my life became. The more I extended love the more I received, and the better I felt internally. Don't get me wrong, I still feel all the other range of emotions just like any other human being, but I've learned to process them differently. Also my spirituality has become the forefront of my life and with it has come even more joy. Meditation and reiki have had a huge influence as well, between the mixture of these things couples with daily acts of self-love positivity has just become natural to me.

You’ve have been working a long time in a different job… Usually at night places. Actually we met there, in Dubai.  Could you explain what have you done to become a reiki healer? What moved you to do that?
It happened very organically. I've always had a caring nature and I knew I wanted to do somethings with my life that I was truly passionate about. I didn't want to just have a job. I desired purpose. For so long I had been living my life based on fear, doubt and my own self-limitations and I was beginning to wake out of that way of existing. It wasn't working for me anymore. I simply began making choices that were more in alignment with how I felt without the need for approval or explanation. As I started to live that way life became more fluid and steps would reveal themselves in their own time. One day I saw an old friend who invited me to a local reiki circle here in Miami led my Melissa Aluna Solano. Reiki was something that had come up for me multiple times in the past and I had recently decided It was something I wanted to pursue. I took that invite as a sign that it was the right choice. I attended the reiki circle and had a beautiful heart felt experience; I went to Melissa afterwards and asked her if she would be my guide. Within a week I had my first attunement and began the process of self-healing. That was over a year ago. Since then I have 2 reiki certifications and I am currently pursing my Mastery. I am the resident Reiki practitioner for "Love Life Wellness Center" one of the top centers in the city of Miami, I work in collaboration with multiple organizations providing reiki service for events throughout South Florida, and I have incredible clients who remind me every day just how blessed I am to do what I love.

You do reiki sessions, in Miami, right? What’s is that sessions about? What can you change in people’s life?
We all have 7 main chakra systems that govern our bodies on the physical, mental, and emotional levels; think of your chakras as batteries and when they are fully charged we are vibrant healthy beings, and when they are depleted or low we loose our vibrancy, and sickness can begin to take place. Reiki is the transference of Universal Life Force energy and is like putting your body on charge, restoring vitality while also promoting other wonderful benefits such as: stress and fatigue relief, detoxification, physical relief of chronic pain as well as the ability to unlock suppressed feelings while promoting a peaceful and more positive outlook just to name a few! Everyone's experience is different as Reiki energy responds to what is needed by the individual. I love using a pendulum to read the chakras and my clients enjoy it too so I always make sure to have it!

Knowing you, makes me believe that you have interesting stories about some sessions, some inspiring stories. There’s any story that you can share with us?
For me, anytime I have a client that has chosen to take a deeper look into themselves with a readiness to heal is always inspiring. We have been taught to cover up our true feelings, we pretend we don't care about the things that actually hurt us convincing ourselves that they don't matter, we bury those feelings, leaving them unresolved and unhealed. But they don't go away, they sit and create imbalances until we face them and that's not always easy. I myself found the process incredibly challenging and at times I still do, but I do the work and extend compassion to myself through the process and I encourage my clients to do the same. One client in particular, Jamie Bendola, a cancer survivor and founder of non-profit The Anti Cancer Collective has made a radical overhaul of her life since starting Reiki with me and it's been amazing to witness. Her story is truly inspiring and she shares it more in detail on my website www.thesoulfulscoop.com .

What is your law for living?
Theres anything that you believe so much, that always became true? Follow your heart. Life is too short to settle for a life that doesn't bring you fulfillment. I did both ends of the spectrum and I'll tell you that following my heart has given me the biggest challenges, hard learned lessons, and my own taste of "failure" & has been the best decision I have ever made . By following my heart, listening to my intuition, and abandoning the need for approval I've gained a new perspective of life and a sense of purpose. Whatever it is that's in your heart to do was put there for a reason, honor that. I believe that we are blessed with the ability to create beautiful lives for ourselves and my life's unfoldment has been proof of that.

What’s your plans for now?
I recently launched my Conscious Lifestyle Brand "THE SOULFUL SCOOP" it's geared towards highlighting individuals who are redefining the meaning of success by following their true passions, and covers topics on self-love, wellness, spirituality, etc. I've gotten such a wonderful response from it already so I'm nurturing and building the brand. I'm also in collaboration with "Bosses TV" and will begin hosting my own CrowdCast Webinar covering topics similar to THE SOULFUL SCOOP. The first segment covers Feng Shui! These two projects along with focusing on my Mastery are my main focal points currently.

For the people that may feel a little bit lost, do you have anything to say to them?
Well as someone who experienced those same feelings for so long I can gently remind you that you're so much more than what you realize. No matter where you are in life know that you have the power within you to create a better reality of you believe. Have courage and be compassionate with yourself; by showing yourself compassion the way you would a friend you can begin to have a better relationship with yourself which is the foundation of everything in your life. Where people can find you to have an appointment with you? You can schedule sessions with me at www.thesoulfulscoop.com!

Dubai touch

Hello,

So I have some new pictures about my last days in Dubai. The very first one it was on the plane, during my 8 hours flight! I was just in the middle corridor and I was watching a movie, which is ''Me before you'', suddenly I looked into the window, on my left and I was thinking ''I really need a picture of that! The sunset literally in the sky its so beautiful that I can't even express.'' Of course, my picture it's not so professional, it was with my iphone, and I just wanted to be fast because people was looking at me like ''weirdoooo''! It was a good memory anyway. Even running like stupid in the plane to catch a good moment.

The next picture it's just me taking some sun under 50 degrees. Seriously, it's not even 40 something here, but the humidity it's crazy. I can't be in the sun more than 10 minutes, I'm always going to the pool to refresh a little bit. At the beach the water it's so hot, and trust me, to say that it's hot, its because it's really hot. Literally like a bath! This is a place called Habtoor Grand Beach and Resort Hotel. They have two pools, one on the top (this one in the picture) and the other one is just 3 floors down, bigger, but also with more people.

This last picture it's from a coffee/ restaurant called Bentley. Yes, just like the real Bentley brand, because actually it's the same. They just have a car inside and all the tables just next to it almost. They have this amazing iced coffee that I can drink 10 times a day! And of course some calories, that I really love. It was a almond muffin. Really delicious also.

I hope I can update my blog as much as I want and show you around. There's amazing places here, just trying to update you guys. It's also not really easy to go around, visit everything and post, but I'm trying! I want to show whats going on here.

Dubai: Cove Beach

Hey hey,

I've been living in Dubai for a year and I noticed that I haven't post anything (almost) about my journey there. So it's time to look inside my albums (after half of the pictures disappeared and my phone also) and decide which one to post on social media. I'm going to speak about Cove Beach. This is a piece of luxury. Can you understand the meaning of that? Well... If you live in Dubai you know how everything is. Or even if you have been there for a week. This place has a Restaurant, a spot to eat inside and outside and also a place with beds to stay under the sun. You also have some music to make you feel relaxed while you watch the beautiful sea. And trust me, this is the most beautiful sea all over Dubai. The color it's a beautiful turquoise blue. For me it's the only place with this amazing color!! So if you're visiting Dubai I must tell you this is the spot! Super beautiful, minimalist, and not overcrowded. At least when I was there it was not that kind of place with loads of people. If you have been there, leave your opinion!

Personal growth

Hey hey,

I'm connected with so many things that I can't see or touch. But I'm sure that things will be visible in so many kind of aspects in my life. My blog has a fashion side (most of the time I do it on Facebook or Instagram) but lifestyle and our vision in the world is something that I really care about and also like to Post about it. For me there's nothing more important than look around, try to find who I am, what I can improve, what I want for me, and so...

Since very young I started reading articles about personal growth, spiritual journey and the ''secret'' of our life. I believe everything in life have a purpose. The most motivated we are, more closer we get.

Imagine you as Marketing Company!

If you have something to sell you need to know the product very well. So imagine you are a product in this life, but a different one. One very special human being that have feelings, that have skills in life, beliefs, and so much more. If you know what you are (and this is something that you will always learn, and change during this life process) you know where you want to go. If you are ''selling'' your skills to someone you need to believe in them. Do you think a company have a best-seller if they don't know how to describe what they have to sell? When you have an interview for a job you need to present you as someone that will be essential for the company, even if you don't have that degree maybe you will be the piece that they need. Go for what you love, not for what you think it's going to make money. If you're doing what you love, you just will earn more and more. Because your passion about it will bring so many good profits, that you will feel you're just doing what you love, and the compensation will come.

Make your own objectives

So many times in our life we lose our focus. We want to be successful, we want to have money, we want a Ferrari, or no! A Rolls Royce. No, no! I just want a Mercedes... Maybe I want a closet full of clothes. I want three kids. Or no! Maybe with this economy I will not make it happen. I want to live outside of my country. Or maybe North of my country it's what I need. I'm lost. I don't know where to go. STOP IT! Focus on what you want. You can't tell the universe you want something that you don't even know if you want it. Please don't be negative, be positive, just ask for what you want, don't complicate even more the process. Make everything clear. If your dream is to have a family, husband, kids, a big mansion in LA, 4 cars, or whatever, just write it down. Think about it everyday, improve, don't forget that every step you will do in life have a purpose. You will make it happen. Just don't lose the focus. I have so many examples of successful people... Look at Manny Khoshbin. He started from the bottom, he started selling dry fruits door to door. Yes, he was selling door to door. Then he opened a business that was forced to shut down. Do you think we just was born rich, with all that easy life? No! He made a plan, he started his Real Estate business and now he's having an amazing life, he's the owner of beautiful cars, P1, Bugattis, Rolls Royce, beautiful Mansion, amazing and beautiful wife, a child. Take a look at this video.

Be an entrepreneur

Will take time as well. But there's nothing better that have your own business. Not because I created mine, I'm not talking about personal experience, I will have mine, I know where I want to go and I need this step in my life. I think also that you guys can think the problem about your age, your financial situation, the economy. You can be 50, 21, 30... Doesn't matter. A business it's not about your age. It's about your responsibility, about your courage, about your spirit to lead! You have so many books, so many articles that you can take some inspiration to open your business. I'm sure you have a passion, and everything can start from that. If you need time to take a step, take that time, but don't waste days without doing anything. What about this famous girls on youtube? There's another example that I would like to talk. Kéfera 5inco Minutos. That girls is huge at the moment. And she started videos without any fancy things around, without a professional around. Now? Now she's doing her own business, she's being an actress (as she wanted), she's selling so many tickets for her shows, all over Brazil. Did she started rich, perfect, with all the help that she needed? No... Did she knew that after all she would be that famous and successful? No, but she started... with something that she loves to do. And no, she didn't spend thousands of dollars to open a business, but she made it! Vamo que vamo!!

Honestly i have so many things to write about it, but I don't want to make massive posts about it. Also I'm going to buy a new book The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. I heard it's a good book.

I really hope you guys make this personal growth, the step to make changes in our life. When we think positive we open loads of doors, with so many amazing things. I met one person during Dubai that makes me think that I don't want to be like that person. I used to be like that, never taking risks, always choosing the comfort zone, not speaking my mind, accepting everything that I couldn't hold anymore, being negative. That person was a lesson for what I don't want to be. And I hope everyone will make up their mind to be positive. Embrace the future.

Cavalli Club, Restaurant and Lounge

Hey hey,

Yesterday was another girls night out but this time we went to Cavalli Club Dubai. In my opinion it's one of the best places to go out for dinner in town. And of course I went with the crazy Rebecca, from Manchester. Yes! Takes a while to understand that deep accent... After 1 year listening all of the British people, I'M READY! I'm ready to understand you guys... Well, most of the time. (I must publish some of her amazing, hilarious, crazy stories... Or maybe record, because she's out of her mind, she's funny, anyway and I will think about it, because it's pure entertain! She's really funny)  Dubai is a very small place and one of the girls, Rebecca's friend was Portuguese as well *clap clap* How much I love to meet Portuguese people when I'm far away.

Cecilia, Rebecca, Caitlin, Nicole

All the cutlery is gold, the table clothes with zebra prints, very good service, Swarovski in their beautiful chandeliers, zebra elevator with a huge sofa inside, amazing food and the music during dinner till closing it's a must! On Wednesday they have Hip Hop and RnB music which it's one of my fav nights there... usually its crowded.

As an Italian restaurant and fine dining I can't say anything except positive comments about the food. The beef carpaccio was the starter that I decided to have, and it was so delicious, for me only Cavalli and Roberto's (DIFC) are the ones that know how to make it in the right way!; as main I chose salmon, like the only thing I ask is salmon, I have this kind of problem eating and repeating always the same food/drinks or whatever. If I'm going to a restaurant and I like it... Uff... that place got me at all. I will go there plenty times until I get sick of it. If I like salmon I'm gonna eat salmon until I get sick of it. Same happen before with so many kinds os food, drinks, places, so and so... And yes, I ate dessert, not all of it, because I was exploding (literally) so I got the amazing chocolate, kind of melted. OMG! I can eat thousands of chocolate of course, but this one!... If I knew how to cook it at home I would be watching movies, blogging and all the things while eating this amazing chocolate. If you're in dubai, please go there, even if it's only for the chocolate, or carpaccio, or salmon if you're crazy about salmon... Like me!

Amuse Bouche (And yes, I forgot to take a picture of my amazing Carpaccio)

awwww, Salmon!! With Asparagus

The famous chocolate.

After dinner we moved for a club table, they have different kind of tables, it depends if you want a VIP one, or a standard one. It's always up to you (and your wallet!). The music was amazing, it was crowed and the Vodka that they have it's only Roberto Cavalli Vodka. The best, for the best. So waste  your time (it's not a waste) and  if you're interested about going out in a luxury place you know... Fairmont Hotel, Cavalli Club is there. On the back side! Open 7 days a week.

Uff! It was a long post...

Sass Cafe

Hey hey,

My last days off I just enjoyed with friends, only girls night.

On Monday I went to Dubai Mall to eat on CheeseCake Factory (How much I love the food there!), and then I went for a girl's dinner at Sass Cafe.

We decided to take beef carpaccio and burrata as starters, then chicken, pasta and sea bass as main course. And as desserts we had cheesecake w/ ice cream (!!!) and an amazing Crème brûlée. Sass Cafe in Dubai it's such a beautiful place, they have dinner tables inside-outside. The night starts with live music and after 11:30/12 they change it and a Dj start playing.  On Mondays there's always a lot of people going there. It's a really beautiful place, surrounded by beautiful people, well dressed. Honestly I love DIFC, most of the time I'm going for dinner and/or drinks in Roberto's, Sass, Zuma and Wheeler's (for drinks this one).

Also on Monday I got my Mac. *clap clap* I was waiting for the delivery for a week almost!! I'm still trying to adapt myself (yes, because my relationship with Mac is not the best, but I really like the fact that it's a slim computer so I can take it with me easily plus the graphics are very good and it's super fast to search on this one).

Cosmopolitan, April 2015

Aliás, faz toda a diferença. (So big thank you Raven, as I said to you you're an incredible person, you have always the right words and beautiful heart! I'm sure you will have a bright future and you're one of my inspirations!)

Obrigada a quem me segue e visita o blog/página!

Some shopping

Lip Gloss e Batom MAC

Iluminador MAC, Pó Facial MAC, Batom Rosa MAC e Gloss Mate Rimmel

Saltos Altos Steve Madden

Good food... Good mood!

Hey hey,

Today I decided to post only about food, I choose two restaurantes in different parts of Dubai and different concepts, plus one place super casual which is good and yu have no time, (or let's be real, when you just want to dress something casual and have no time for make up/hair).

The first one is Wheeler's By Marco Pierre White, a fine dinning restaurant, located in DIFC. I've been working there as Head Hostess/ Reservations Supervisor and it was my first job in Dubai. It's a british cousine - during week they have the business lunch available with 3 different options for starters, main course and dessert.

And the second restaurant ''Après'' is more casual with the view of one snow place. How funny it is feeling super hot outside but coming to the Mall and find a place where it's possible to do sports in the snow. This place is in Emirates Mall. I like the concept and the food!

And out of this concepts I want to speak about Sushi Counter. It's a restaurant that have delivery, super casual, sometimes when I'm at home and I want sushi I order from this restaurant. Also is next to my place, so it's perfect to go there, eat sushi, drink a coffee with friends.

And that's all! Soon I will post about my shopping here in Dubai.

Dubai

Hey hey,

My last days have been working and I couldnt come here to update the blog. Today I'm bringing some pictures, the first one it's from one restaurant in DIFC - called Roberto's. The cuisine there is italian and the food... excellent, plus the service, which it's always good. I tried the carpaccio and carpaccio pizza for the starters (actually I shared, so I tried both) then I choosed Raviolli and to finish we was surprised by amazing desserts, fruit, apple pie and tiramisu.

The other day I was going to DIFC again to see the art around there. A lot of people, different new places with DJ's outside, professional painters drawing the walls, random people painting some art (I tried as well)...It was a good ambience there.

And to end up yesterday I went to the salon to make my nails and hair. I choosed to let them pretty basic so I can choose a new color everytime I want. Usually if I choose a different shape or colors I get bored easily that's why this time I decided to let them like this.

Hope you have an amazing weekend, it's almost starting.
